* Armaan took to Karting at the age of four and half years in a racing Zip Cadet Kart. He did not continue racing for long and took a break from the sport thereafter.
* He got back to Karting at the age of 13 in January and won the JK Tyre Pro Am Karting School with Rotax engines in Bangalore.
* After a good performance he got himself a Scholarship award from City Karting Malaysia to train and race in Malaysia for the Malaysian Rotax Championship and the Malaysian Endurance Championship.
* Putting in an astounding performance he finished second overall in the Malaysian Senior Endurance Championship, placing him amongst the upcoming new faces in the International Karting circles.
* In the Malaysian Rotax Junior Championship he finished 6th and 4th out of 26 Karts participating.
>>>> In recognition of his driving talents he represented India in the Asian Zone Karting Championship in Lankawi on the 14th of December 2003, in the Rotax Junior class and in the Inter Continental A - 100 cc Direct Drive class. After qualifying on Pole and P2 for both races respectively, Armaan put in a stupendous drive, coming second in both the Rotax Junior class and the Inter Continental A class competing against 20 drivers from 14 countries, making this a highly competitive event.
---> He became the first Indian to represent his country in the World Junior Rotax Finals held on 24 January 2004, in Cairo-Egypt and competed against 26 of the best drivers from 18 different countries. Armaan finished a credible 12th starting from last place on the grid because of a disastrous qualifying session where he got bumped from behind and had to pull out.
---> Finished 3rd in the LGS-JK Tyre Racing School program in the Formula Maruti and Formula LGB cars and made his racing debut on the 21st of December in the Formula Maruti class at the final round of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2003.
---> The youngest ever JK Tyre National Racing Champion 2004 in the newly introduced all-powerful Formula LGB 1300cc category. On December 19 2004 Armaan becomes the youngest ever champion taking this title from none other than the other JK Tyre prodigy - Karun Chandhok.
**** Represented India again in the Rotax World Karting Championship in Spain in January 2005. Crashed in the heats after moving upto 5th place.
**** Won the Formula BMW driver scholarship award for the Asian Formula BMW Championship 2005 and is sponsored by BMW Motor sport to the tune of 50,000 US $ for the championship. Armaan will now don the prestigious BMW colors and is a contracted BMW scholarship driver for 2005.
**** Will participate in the 2005 Asian Formula BMW Championship and will drive for team E Rain from Korea under the supervision of Patrick Roberts from UK.
**** Signed a technical contract with Peter Windsor, ex Williams Formula 1 promotions manager and Rob Wilson, Bar Honda F1 driver coach for technical management in racing for 2005.
**** Currently sponsored by JK Tyre and represents JK Tyre as their brand ambassador.
**** Contracted with Showdiff worldwide headed by former Indian cricket captain, Ravi Shastry to represent him on all commercial contracts other than JK Tyre.
**** At the age of 15, Armaan will be the youngest driver in the 2005 Asian Formula BMW Championship that is a FIA approved championship.
