SUPPLEMENTRY REGULATIONS FOR BIKE RACES
19TH & 20TH MARCH,2005.

1. EVENT : The event is being conducted by the MADRAS MOTOR SPORTS CLUB,at the MMST race Track at Irungattukkottai, Sriperambadur. The track has a good tarmac surface and is 2.1 kms long.The event is conducted under the International Sporting code of the FIM, the NCR of the FMSCI and these regulations, and has the status of an OPEN event.

2. ORGANISING COMMITTEE:The following are the officials of the Meet and their address will be c/o MADRAS MOTOR SPORTS CLUB,123/1, T T K Road,Alwarpet,Chennai 600 018.

3. ELIGIBILITY OF VEHICLES : All two wheelers are permitted to race.

4. ELIGIBILITY OF COMPETITORS : Open to all who are in possession of valid civil driving licence. Experienced riders and team entries will not be accepted. All riders must be in possession of the appropriate FMSCI Competition license.

5. ENTRY: Entries should be submitted on the official entry form and be accompanied by an entry fee of Rs. 250 per bike entry , insurance charges Rs.100. Last date of receipt of entries is 17th March, 2005, 1 p m.

6. INDEMNITY: All participants must sign and submit the enclosed form. Failure to do so may result in exclusion and deemed to have been excluded even if flagged off.

7. PROGRAMME: One Practise session of 30 minutes will be given on 19th February,2005. The first session will be at 1300 hrs.
The first race of 5 laps will be on 20th March,2005 at 0930 hrs.
The races will be run for the following twowheelers:
a. Mopeds
b. Scooters
c. Motorcycles 80 cc to 110 cc 4 stroke Group B
d. Motorcycles 110 cc to 160 cc 4 stroke Group B
e. Motorcycles 160 cc to 180 cc 4 stroke Group B
f. Motorcycles above 180 cc 4 stroke Group B
g. Motorcycles 80 cc to 110 cc 2 stroke Group B
h. Motorcycles 110 cc to 160 cc 2 stroke Group B
i. Motorcycles upto 250 cc 2 stroke or 4 stroke Group A
j. TVS Race a bike scheme, Victor category
k. TVS Race a bike scheme, Fiero category

Subject to 6 bikes in each class and atleast 6 classes being formed.

One race for mopeds and scooters of 3 laps and all other bikes, 2 races of 5 laps each, short track. Organisers reserve the right to run more than one class concurrently.

8. PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the first three finishers, and prizes will be distributed at the Track after the races.

9. Rights & Obligations of the organizer

9.1 The organizer may issue any Competitor Information Bulletins (CIBs) and / or written instructions to competitors at any time. Written instructions when issued shall be signed by each competitor / entrant as proof of receipt and shall have the same legal force as these supplementary regulations. All CIBs will be communicated via dated and sequentially numbered bulletins. These bulletins shall have the force and will constitute an integral part of these regulations and will be posted at the official notice board. Details of the official notice board should be mentioned in the SR. As far as possible, the CIBs shall be brought to the notice of the individual competitors. However it is the responsibility of the competitor and / or entrant to acquaint themselves with the CIBs and / or written instructions posted at the official notice board.

9.2 The provisions of the present regulations may only be amended according to Art.66 of the Sporting Code of the NCR. The organizing committee and the stewards of the meeting reserve the right to amend the prescriptions of the present regulations according to the circumstances and cases which arise. Competitors will be informed of any amendments as soon as possible. Any amendments / additional provisions will be announced by dated and sequentially numbered bulletins which are an integral part of these regulations. These bulletins will be posted at the official notice boards and will also be directly communicated to the competitors.

9.3 The Stewards of the Meeting are empowered to take a decision on any case not covered by the present regulations.

9.4 The interpretations of these regulations and decisions regarding any unforeseen circumstances shall rests with the Steward/s of the meting.

9.5 The organizers may at their discretion abandon, cancel or postpone the event in case of unforeseen circumstances as per Art.60 of the Sporting Code of the FMSCI.

9.6 Under no circumstances will an entry to this event be refused without assigning proper reasons thereof

9.7 The organizers and / or the Clerk of the Course may appoint Judges of Fact, whom have to be named either in the Supplementary Regulations or in a CIB along with a specific duty of what is to be judged

10. PROTESTS & APPEAL: Protests and appeals if any, can be made subject to the provision of the Regulations. A sum of Rs.2000 must accompany the protest. For appeal fees, refer App.R to the NCR.

11. For other regulations such as start, race, paddock procedures, flag signals etc, refer to the National Competition Regulations, which are available at the Club office.
