The curtains will come down this year’s formula car racing season with the 6th and final leg of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2007 getting underway this weekend at the Madras Motor Race Track in Sriperumbudur. The qualifying rounds will be held on Saturday, 6th October and main races on Sunday 7th October. And all eyes will be on the battle for the national crown in the premium category - Formula Rolon Chevrolet. With the little master Ashwin Sundar sealing the titles in the two classes , Formula LGB Hyundai and Formula LGB Swift - at the end of the fifth round, all attention will be focused on Aditya Patel and Rayomand Banajee who will be fighting for the title of the Formula Rolon Chevrolet category. It will be a classic final in this class races with the winner ultimately walking away with the brand new Chevrolet Optra SRV car as announced by GM India. Exciting double duels are on the cards in this class. One will be for the top slot between Aditya of Team NK Racing and Rayomand Banajee of Prime Racing. Aditya Patel of Team NK Racing has a tally of 68 points after 5 rounds. A top finish in one the two remaining races or a finish in the top three slots in both races will seal the championship title for Aditya. However a bad show from Aditya and an excellent show from Rayomand who is behind Aditya with 56 points can swing the fortunes the other way. On the other side the other duel could be between Rayomand Banajee and Saran Vikram who has 44 points. In this case a bad show from the former could push him to third place and catapult Saran to runner up position in the championship.

However it will be an interesting tussle for the 3rd place between four racers - S Narendran of Team Rams Racing (51 pts), Karthik Shankar of Team WSRF with Leela (47 pts), and the two racers from Team Gemini Racing - Anand Prasad (44 pts) and Fazal Khan (40 pts). It will be yet another four way battle for the 2nd and 3rd places in the Formula LGB Swift category. With a few points separating Karthik Shankar (Team WSRF) - 52 pts, Aditya Patel(Team Gemini Racing) - 51 pts, Ajay Kini - 48 pts and Saran Vikram - 45 pts (both from Team WSRF), these promising youngsters will have to come up with spirited performances to achieve their goals. Racing who have 112 points. Team Rams Racing lead in Formula LGB

LGB Swift category with 128 points followed by Rams Racing with
