Dilip Rogger improves overall standing after Round 2 of Asian GP

The second round of the FIM Asian GP was held on 7th and 8th July at the Sentul Circuit, Indonesia. Riders from Indonesia, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, India, Germanay and Italy were seen in action. India was represented by Dilip Rogger in the 600 cc SuperSports category & K Rajini and Ashwin Sundar in the 115cc Underbone category.

Dilip Rogger came up with a better performance in Round 2. Racing on a Honda CBR 600 cc motorcycle, Dilip qualified in 11th place.

Despite being down with fever, Dilip moved up to the 9th place in Race 1 before falling back due to a bout of dizziness. . But he stuck on bravely to finish in 12th place. In Race 2 Dilip drove a consistent race to finish in 11th place.

At the end of Round 2, Dilip Rogger is placed 9th in the overall standings in a grid of 21 riders. Five times ASIAN GP champion Hamaguchi is currently the championship leader.

In the 115 cc Underbone category, Race 1 saw our rider K Rajini finishing 13th while Ashwin Sundar finished in 19th place. Ashwin improved his performance in race 2 and finished 13th while K Rajini finished 16th. Rajini is in 14th place in the classification after round 2 with out of 34 riders while Ashwin is in distant 21st place because of his two DNFs in round 1.

The next round will be held in Sepant Circuit in Malaysia between August 2nd and 5th.
