Displaying their championship traits, Chennai’s number one women’s car rally team consisting of Molly Joseph, her sister Betsy Thomas, Molly’s daughter Preethi Sinha and Betsy’s daughter Elizabeth Thomas emerged clear winners in the all ladies category in fourth edition of the Lanson Toyota Car Rally which was held yesterday (26th Aug 2007). More than 80 teams participated in this event. Taking the honors in the General category was Anuj Bihani and team. Teams led by Siddhartha and Divyesh Seth were the winners in the Toyota Corolla and Toyota Innova categories respectively. The results were announced in the evening and the prizes were given away at a glittering function.

The rally was conducted by Madras Sterling Ladies Circle # 63 to generate funds for their National charity project “Educate to Enlighten” as well as their local projects The event organized by Madras Motor Sports Club was run on a Time, Speed and Distance (TSD) format covering a distance of approximately 70 kms in about 3 hours within Chennai city and its suburbs. Lanson Toyota was the main sponsor for this event and Dalmia Cements the associate sponsor.

Earlier in the day the rally was flagged off at 9.30 am by young racing sensation Armaan Ebrahim and actor Sibiraj. The results were announced the same evening.
