Preetham, Dilip and Jeba keeps Indian flag flying high

Round 3 of the Malaysian Super Series 2007 was held in the North track (2.7096 kms) of the famous Sepang Circuit in Malaysia on 21 & 22 July 2007.

India was represented by Preetham Dev Moses, Dilip Rogger & Emmanuel Jebaraj. While Preetham and Dilip were participating in the SuperSport 600 cc bike, Jeba was taking part in the 250 cc Aprilia Cup.

In the 600 cc SuperSports category, Preetham Dev Moses won both the races keeping the Indian flag flying high.

Dilip Rogger, participated in a rented bike which was a road used bike with no race modification only as a practice before his Asian GP scheduled for two weeks later. Dilip qualified 5th for race 1, but had some mechanical problems in his bike and also had a fall in the race 1. In race 2, Dilip started in 13th position of the grid but moved to 2nd position in lap 9 behind Preetham. In lap 13, he managed to overtake Preetham. Finally Preetham won the event on the main straight by 0.01 seconds. Dilip also had the fastest timing in both the races. Dilip's splendid performance in the races in an unmodified bike, clearly exhibited his skill and experience.

Emmanuel Jebaraj riding Aprilia 250 qualified on pole on Saturday at damp conditions. However, he could finish only 5th in race 1. In race 2 he rode extremely well to finish 2nd. He now stands 3rd overall with a difference of 8 points for second place with two more rounds to go.
