Ashwin Sundar, K. Rajini and Preetam Dev Moses stole the honors in the qualifiers for the 2nd round of the UCAL ROLON National Road Racing Championship 2007 for two wheelers today at the Madras Motor Racing Track at Irrungattukottai.

Expert category Group C 2 stroke 110 -150 cc class saw Preetam Dev Moses taking the pole with the fastest lap timing of 02:04:052. Preetam Dev Moses and K. Rajini are the pole leaders in Group D 4 stroke 80 -125 cc and 125 -160 cc classes with timings of 01:19:062 and 01:16:701 respectively.

In the open category - Group B 4 stroke - it is Ashwin Sundar in the pole in 110 -160 cc class having timed the fastest lap of 02:09:636 while the pole honors in 161 - 250 cc class goes to R. Deepak with a timing of 02:11:493.

In the novices category Shyam Shankar is in pole in both classes of Group D 4 stroke - 80 to 125 cc and 125 to160 cc with the fastest lap timings of 01:25:490 and 01:20:082. In Group C 2 stroke 110 - 150 class the pole leader is M. Venkatesan with a timing of 02:15;865. Mohammed Jassin with a timing of 01:21:357 will start from pole in Group D 2 stroke 110 - 150 cc class.

R.G.Gopal will start in pole in the mopeds category having timed the fastest lap of 01:30:985.

The races will commence on Sunday at 9.30 am. Entry for the public is free.
