TK Vishwanath sets the track ablaze ; Triple win for K Rajini

Race Report : Coimbatore : 19th Aug 2007

T. K. Vishwanath of Team Yamaha and K.Rajini of Team TVS hogged the limelight in Round 4 of the Ucal Rolon National Road Racing Championship 2007 which was held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore earlier today.

Experts : Group C 2 stroke 110 to 150 cc

T.K. Vishwanath of Team Yamaha set the track ablaze as he came up with stunning performances in both the races in the premium Group C 2 stroke 110 to 150 categogry. It was absolute domination by the Bangalore racer as he swept past the competition. Preetham Dev Moses of Team TVS finished 2nd in both the races. There was no third place finish in race one as the others could not complete the full race due to technical reasons, In race 2 it was Sriskandarajah of Team Yamaha finishing in 3rd place.

Experts : Group D 4 Stroke 80 – 125 cc

Race 1 saw pole leader Ashwin Sundar of Team Yamaha involved in a three way tussle with the duo from Team TVS, Harry Sylvester and Preetham Dev Moses. Ashwin held on tightly to the slender lead from the start till end to end on a triumphant note. Finishing in a very close 2nd and 3rd places were Harry and Preetham respectively. Misfortune struck Ashwin in Race 2 when in an attempt to avoid the stalled vehicle of Preetham, he swerved and fell of the track hurting himself in the process. Harry Sylvester raced ahead to build up a good lead to emerge winner. Sriskandarajah of Team Yamaha finished in 2nd place while P. Karthick of Team TVS came in 3rd.

Experts : Group D 4 Stroke 125 – 160 cc

Race 1 saw a thrilling duel between Harry Sylvester and P. Karthick of Team TVS for the top place after pole leader K.Rajini also from the same team fell back due to vehicle problems. Harry ultimately prevailed by a whisker to take the chequered flag ahead of Karthick. Finishing in 3rd place was P. Rajini. It was a clean sweep for Team TVS in Race 2 with K. Rajini , Harry Sylvester and P.Karthick finishing 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Experts : Group B 4 Stroke 110 – 160 cc

K. Rajini of Team TVS was in full cry as he went on to register a double win – emerging victorious in both Race 1 and Race 2 . Finishing 2nd and 3rd in both races was team mates Preetham Dev Moses and P. Karthick.

Experts : Group B 4 Stroke 160 – 250 cc

M. Sudhakar came up triumphs in Race 1 winning by a huge margin. R.Deepak and R.Ramesh Babu finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Novice categories

Rohit Giri and R. Bala Krishnan shared honors winning one race each in Group D 2 stroke 110 to 150 cc category. In Group D 4 stroke 80 -125 class R. Thamu was the winner in Race 1 while S. Shankar triumphed in Race 2. In the 125 – 160 cc class of the same group it was a double win for S. Shankar.

R, Karthikeyan triumphed in the moped category. V. Suresh and R. G. Gopal finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
