It was yet another action packed day as the penultimate round of the Ucal Rolon National Road Racing Championship for two wheelers MMST track at Irrungattukottai saw the duo from Team TVS Preetham Dev Moses and K.Rajini in fighting form . Preetham had podium finishes in 6 races - annexing the top place in 4 races and finishing 2nd in 2 other races, while K.Rajini had 4 podium finishes inclusive of 2 wins. With a good crowd in attendance indicating the growing popularity of two wheeler racing, the racing action had high pitched enthusiasts cheering them all the way. S.Shankar, R.Deepak, V.Murugan and Rohit Giri also came up with tremendous performances to annex double wins in their respective categories.

The highlight of today’s races was in the Group A category which consisted of foreign bikes in the 600 cc to 1000 cc category. India’s first international racer and also the first Indian competitor in Asian GP, Dilip Rogger stole the show with splendid performances to register thundering victories in both races. He received a standing ovation from the huge crowd that had assembled at the tracks today.

In the premium class of the championship, Group C 2 stroke 110 – 150cc category, it was Preetham Dev Moses of Team TVS powering his way to a record a facile win in Race 1. Finishing in 2nd & 3rd places were T.K.Vishwanath of Team Yamaha Racing and his team mate Sriskandarajah. However Race 2 saw T. K. Vishwanath edged past Preetham to take the chequered flag in a thriller of a race. Once again it was Sriskandarajah coming in third.

In Group D 4 stroke 80 – 125 cc class, Race 1 saw Preetham Dev Moses of Team TVS taking the chequered flag by a whisker after a grueling duel with team mate P.Karthik. Finishing a close third was veteran racer Sriskandarajah of Team Yamaha. Race 2 saw a great effort from Sriskandarajah enabling him to take the chequered flag. Preetham Dev Moses came in second while the 3rd place went to Harry Sylvester.

For K. Rajini of Team TVS it was once again double honors in the Group D 4 Stroke 125 – 160 cc category as he topped both the races with comfortable wins. Finishing in 2nd and 3rd places in both races were team mates Harry Sylvester and P. Karthik respectively.

Preetham Dev Moses of Team TVS did extremely well to finish on top after a very closely fought battle with teammate K. Rajini in Race 1 of the Group B 4 Stroke 110 -160 cc class. R.Deepak finished a far third. The results were repeated in Race 2.

R. Deepak scored a facile double win in the Group B 4 Stroke 160 -250 cc class.

In the Novice categories S. Shankar and V. Murugan won both their races in the Group D 4 Stroke 80 -125 cc and 125 -160 cc classes respectively. Rohit Giri took the honors in Group D 2 Stroke 110 -150 cc class winning both races. M. Venkatesh and A.Satish Kumar won one race each in the Group C 2 stroke 110 – 150 cc class.

Umesh Babu took the honors in the mopeds category.
