The
Federation Internationale de l' Automobile, the international federation
for 4 wheeler motorsports transfered back their Sporting Power (ASN
- status) to the Government of India's recognized National Sports
Federation viz. The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI)
from July 1, 2008.
There
has been many queries from the competitors who had their licenses
issued by the then ASN, i.e. MAI with regard to the status of their
licenses and the procedure to be followed to get FMSCI license.
The
FMSCI has now made available the application forms for various 4
wheeler licenses for download from its website www.fmsci.in under
Application section. The same can also be downloaded from your indmotorsport.com.
On
going thru the forms and the tariff, it is clear that the FMSCI
had retained the structure to avoid any confusion to the competitors.
A
note on the tariff also state that holders of 2008 MAI license holders
may return the same xerox
copy to the FMSCI along with duly completed appropriate
application form & indemnity form with one passport
stamp size photograph
to the FMSCI. The FMSCI will then issue its license to the applicants.
This license is issued FREE OF COST . This is done with a view that
competitors should not be asked to pay again for the license, for
no fault of theirs.
To
clarify, if you have a Rally Driver's License & Rally Entrant's
License, you need to download the 4W Rally license application &
Entrant Application form and the indemnity forms, fill it up, attach
2 photographs (one for the driver & one for the entrant) and
send it to the FMSCI along with the original
xerox copy of MAI Drivers & Entrant
licenses to enable FMSCI to issue their licenses. The same procedure
may be followed for racing & karting licenses as well.
