The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) which is the National Sports Federation recognized by the Government of India for the governance and promotion of motorsport in India has issued its circular on 2008 FMSCI Competition License. According to the circular "The licensing procedure for 2008 is as under : There will be four types of 2 wheeler licenses valid till 31-12-2008 1. Entrant / Full
Competition License Issued by the FMSCI to holders of Restricted Competition License who have participated in a minimum of 3 closed or 2 speed events. Entitles the holder to participate in all FMSCI events. If a first timer (novice) wishes to enter in Group A,B or C the FMSCI may issue him a Full Competition License if this has the recommendation of the Club. Entrant / Restricted Competition License Issued by the FMSCI to any holder of a valid Civil Driving License. Entitles holder to participate in all FMSCI events up to and including National Championship status but only in Group D. One Event License Issued by the organizing
club to competitors holding a valid Civil Driving License and entitles
holder to participate in a particular event (Open / Closed Invitation
only). The FMSCI will supply these licenses to clubs on demand against
advance payment @ Rs.100/= per license (for Group D) and Rs.200/- per
license (for Groups A/B/C). Clubs will then issue these licenses across
the table to competitors and submit a statement of licenses issued alongwith
application form / indemnity form to the FMSCI on the completion of
the event. Issued by the FMSCI to teams only Fees 2W Full - 1000/=, 2WRestricted 400/=, 2W One Event (Group “D”) upto Open status only 100/=, 2W One Event (Group B/C/A) upto Open status only 200/=, 2W Team Entrant 10,000/= 4 Wheeler License There will be five types of 4 wheeler licenses valid till 31-12-2008 1) Entrant / Rally
License The rally / race and one event license will be issued to all persons having a valid Civil Driving License. One Event License Issued by the organizing club to competitors holding a valid Civil Driving License and entitles holder to participate in a particular event (Closed Invitation / Open only). The FMSCI will supply these licenses to clubs on demand against advance payment @ Rs.200/= per license. Clubs will then issue these licenses across the table to competitors and submit a statement of licenses issued alongwith application form / indemnity form to the FMSCI on the completion of the event. There is no need for medical forms. Fees Documents required for issue of FMSCI Competition License 1. Application for
Competition License complete in all respects In the case of One Event License, the medical forms are not required. The competition record book accompanying the license must be maintained by the competitor and returned to the FMSCI at the time of renewal every year-end. The license should be produced on demand to any authorized FMSCI official. A set of applications for competition license / medical form / indemnity form and organizing permit are enclosed with a request to make as many additional copies as required.
