Chennai, 20th Dec 2008 : Pleasant weather conditions marked the beginning of the 4th edition of the JK Tyre Junior Cup today. Three races were held today in the Formula Maruti category.

Fifteen competitors from various parts of the country – Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Guwahati, Haryana & Chennai - were seen in action today as they vied for honors in Round 1 of the 4th edition of the JK Tyre Junior Cup at the Madras Motor Race Track at Irungaatukottai near Chennai today. Chennai lad Gokul Krishna of Wallace Sports stole the thunder winning all the three races today.

Race 1 saw Gokul Krishna 2nd in grid but he clinched a comfortable win ahead of K. Prashanth of Rams Racing. Gokul’s team mate Chetan finished third.

Race 2 saw a repeat performance from Gokul Krishna as he rounded off his second win of the day warding off a hot pursuit form Prashanth. The lad from Guwahati and Wallace Sports Paragjyothi finished a distant third.

Race 3 was a reapeat of Race 2 with the top three retaining their positions. While Gokul had a comfortable lead, it was a fiery tussle for the second place between Prashanth and Paragjyothi. However it was Prashanth who finished second by a whisker.
