Chennai, 21st Dec 2008 : It was a bright and sunny day as Round 2 of the JK Tyre Junior Cup unfolded today. With three races in each round in the Formula Maruti category, today’s races once again featured fifteen competitors from Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi , Guwahati, Haryana & Chennai.

All eyes were on Chennai lad Gokul Krishna of Wallace Sports who after his tremendous triple win yesterday continued his dominating spree to take the chequered flag in style by notching up spectacular wins in all the three races today. With this Gokul Krishna has achieved the rare feat of winning six successive races – three each in Round 1 and Round 2 respectively. K. Prashanth of Rams Racing also had a good outing with five second place and one third place finishes during the weekend.

Race 1 saw Gokul Krishna of Wallace Sports come up with a brilliant performance to notch up a very convincing win ahead of K. Prashanth of Rams Racing. This was Gokul’s 4th win in a row. Gokul’s team mate Chetan finished third.

Race 2 saw a repeat performance from Gokul Krishna as he raced away to record his second win of the day and his fifth successive win in the championship. While Prashanth once again finished in second place it was Chetan who came in third.

Race 3. saw Gokul thunder away to his third successive win of the day. However the fight for the second place was a keen tussle between Prashanth and Paragjyothi. In the end it was Paragyothi who won the battle pushing Prashanth to third place.
