Pranav Menon, Sameeksha Asher & Gaurav Mathew wins the Chennai Round

 

• Pranav Menon, Sameeksha Asher, Gaurav Mathew takes the podium at Chennai leg; earn a chance to win Amaron Scholarships worth Rs.10 lakhs.

• Amaron Karting Challenge is the largest and definitive initiative in motorsports to discover young racing talent in India

• The second regional leg of the challenge to be held in Bangalore on 6th September 2008

Chennai August 24, 2008: On the action packed 2nd day of the Amaron Karting Challenge Chennai regional challenge finals, determined young karters took the top honours to earn their berths at the Grand Finale scheduled for January 2009 at Bangalore. Armaan Ebrahim and Aditya Patel, Amaron brand ambassadors and India’s leading international motor racers were present to cheer the young racers.

Pranav Menon of Sishya School was the topper of Amaron Karting Challenge 2008 Chennai round. While Sameeksha Asher again from Sishya School won the second place and Gaurav Mathew of Lady Andal School won the third position in the Challenge’s regional round.

At the Grand Finale they’d vie with the other regional finalists to take a shot at the big prize of a full Scholarship in the Amaron Scholarship Program and represent Team Amaron Pro Racing in the Indian JK Tyre Rotax Max Championship and other karting championships in India.

The Scholarship will also earn the winner 5 training programmes with Meco Motor Sports in between the races. The 2nd placed winner will get a 75% Scholarship and the 3rd placed winner a 50% Scholarship.

The 2-day qualifier began with over 250 aspirants between 12 and 16 years zooming on the track in custom built EVO AE 1 karts with the latest version of Subaru 4 stroke engines, trying to outdo others and realize their dreams.

Amaron Karting Challenge conducted by Amara Raja Batteries is India’s largest discovery ground for creating international racing champs. The wholesome, dynamic program is backed by superior credentials of Amara Raja Batteries and has been designed to help kids to find out the hidden racer in him to try it out, compete and eventually win.

Registrations for the Bangalore regional round will be open from the 25th of August and the entry forms can be accessed through www.amaron.in.
