Karthik, P : Production Bike : 135 cc

Karthik Purushothaman participated in the Round 1 of the MSS (Malaysian Super series) 2008 in the production bikes cup (135cc) series. He is supported by his Parents, TVS Motor Company and Perot systems IBPS Chennai.

Karthik qualified on 15th place during qualifying session on Saturday, the 12th April. He started his race on Sunday in a wet condition due to unprecedented rainfall before the race, but Karthik's determination made him to pull up from the 15th position and race past to the 3rd position on the very second lap, but his bike developed some technical problem and he had to pull out off the race. He joined back the race after the snag was rectified at 13th position. After joining back, he raced past the others from the 13th position to finish the race at 8th position.

In his second race his bike engine got jammed during lap 2 in the first corner and he was thrown out off his bike and he sustained minor injuries in his hand and leg.

Harry Sylvester : Production Bike : 135 cc

Harry qualified 12th. In race 1 Harry finished 6th and in race 2 he finished 7th. Harry said : " The race day started up somewhat dull and moody, as it was a wet day and gave us a new experience of riding on a wet track. The track was pretty slippery and I somehow grabbed a position of 6. Past the day was dry and favorable for racing. But now I was facing difficulties pulling my bike out of corners due to sprocket problem. I was fortunate enough to finish 7th."
