Jebaraj wins round 2 in Bikerz Naza Category
K. Rajini achieves podium finish in SuperSport category
The
round 2 of the Malaysian Super Series was held at the Sepang
Track (North) on 24th & 25th May 2008 in which 7 Indian
Riders took part in various categories.
Emmanuel
Jebaraj who took part in the in the Bikerz Naza category
astride Aprilia 250 cc bike won the round 2 with 36 points.
Jeba qualified seventh in the qualifying session
held on Saturday. In race 1 held today (25th May) he finished
5th and won the race 2 held today with the best timing of 1:28.085
which enabled him to clinch the overall title for round 2. Jeba
is sponsored by Red Rooster Racing, Live Life and Pacer
Yamaha.
Rajini
K took part in the 600 cc SuperSport Open category
which had 36 entries. Rajini qualified 4th
on Saturday. Race 1 saw a series of crashes and was reduced
to 12 laps from the scheduled 15 laps. Rajini K finished
on the podium with 3rd position. In the race 2 Rajini
finished 4th in this competitive SuperSport category.
Rajini finished 3rd overall in round 2.
Rohit
V Giri also took part in the 600 cc SuperSport but
in the Novice category. Rohit Giri qualified
12th overall. In Race 1 he finished a creditable 7th overall
& finished 8th overall in the race 2. In the Novice category
Rohit Giri finished 2nd in both races.
Vinoth
Kannan who took part in the Kawasaki Cup qualified
9th and finished 9th in both race 1 and race 2.
Emmanuel
Clarke who also took part in the Kawasaki Cup qualified
11th and finished 10th in race 1 and 8th in race 2.
In
the Production Bike Category, Karthick P qualified
13th and finished a creditable 6th in both the races. Harry
Sylvester qualified 28th and finished 12th and 17th
in race 1 and 2 respectively.
The
round 3 of the MSS is scheduled on 13-15 June 2008.
