The round 2 of the Malaysian Super Series will be held at the 2.807 kms Sepang International Circuit – North Track between 24th & 25th May 2008.

Seven of our Indian riders are all set to take part in this round. Rajini K, Emmanuel Jebaraj & Rohit Giri will compete in the Super Sport category with their 600 cc bikes ; Vinoth Kannan and Emmanuel Clarke in the 150 cc Kawasaki Cup while Karthik P & Harry Sylvester would take part in the Underbone Production Bike 135 cc category.

In the round 1 held on 12-13 April 2008, Karthik P finished 8th in race 1 of the Production Bike and in race 2 had to retire because his bike engine got jammed during lap 2 in the first corner and he was thrown out off his bike and he sustained minor injuries in his hand and leg.

Harry Sylvester had a successful debut at MSS having finished 6th in the race 1 and 7th in race 2 of the Production Bike.

Vinoth Kannan who participated in the Kawasaki Cup finished 5th in race 1. Emmanuel Clarke finished 5th in race 1 and 8th in race 2 of the Kawasaki Cup.

Super Sport Bikes in Action in round 1

In the 600cc Super Sport Novice Category, Rohit Giri finished 8th & 12th in race 1 & 2 respectively. In the 600 cc Super Sport Open Category K. Rajini finished a creditable 4th & 5th in the race 1 & 2 respectively. Emmanuel Jebaraj could not participate due to engine problems in both the races.

All these riders now leave to Malaysia to participate in the 2nd round of the Malaysian Super Series scheduled this week end and indmotorsport.com wishes all of them the very best.
