'Red Roosters' Vikram Mathias & Amittrajit Ghosh consolidates lead
MRF's Gaurav Gill fights back

Bangalore, 9th August

Team Red Roosters lead driver Vikram Mathias with his co-driver PVS Murthy along with his team mate Amittrajit Ghosh (Ashwin Naik) is all set to repeat their 1-2 win in the previous round at Mysore. At the end of Leg 2 of the IMG sponsored 34th K1000 Rally, Vikram Mathias lead the rally with a total penalty of 01:30:24, closely followed by his team mate Amittrajit Ghosh with 01:32:15 penalties.

However, the day belonged to MRF's Gaurav Gill who set the fastest time in all the six stages that was held today. At the end of Leg 1, Gaurav Gill (Moosa Sherif) was placed 30th with a total penalty of 00:56:18. Gaurav Gill fought back with a vengence and at the end of Leg 2, he is positioned at 3rd position with a total penalty of 01:39:32, speaks volumes of his driving skill and sheer dedication of this 'flat out' man.

Mazdayar Vatcha (Vinayaka) moved up 2 places from their leg 1 position and is now placed 4th overall and leader in the 1400cc category with a total penalty of 01:40:34. S Sujay and SM Bharath (01:41:29) is placed 6th overall and 2nd in the 1400 cc class.

Sanket Shanbhag & Ramesh is leading the 1600cc class and are placed 5th overall with a total penalty of 01:40:46.

Vikram Devadasan & Raymond leads the Rally Star Cup (01:42:12), followed by Deepak Paul Chinnappa and M Chandrashekar with 01:44:04 penalty points.

In the Gypsy Cup Category it is Sandeep Sharma & Rashid Raza followed by Surendra Babu and Naveen YG with a total penalty of 01:50:57 and 01:55:00 respectively.

The Spectator Super Special Stage will be held on Sunday (10th Aug) at Gayathri Vihar, Palace Ground (Mekri Circle entrance) at 0800 hrs.
