The round 3 of the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup took place at the Norisring Racing Circuit on 27th & 28th June 2009. The Norisring Racing circuit in Germany is a stunning venue and 130,000 spectators lining it. Aditya Patel and Ashwin Sundar clearly showed that they are made of Championship material as they came to grips with the circuit in a short span of thirty minutes allotted for practice. In the Qualifying, Aditya qualified 13th. Ashwin encountered braking problems and qualified 27th.

The race itself was action packed, as it was a 28 car grid and seperated by just over a second. Aditya started 13th and moved up to tenth in four laps, then missed a gear, sending him to 16th. He quickly recovered , and clawed his way back to tenth place. German driver Belka crashed heavily, and the race was stopped. Meanwhile, Ashwin Sundar stormed his way through the field, from 27th to 12th, putting in a really good drive.

Both Chennai lads have improved by leaps and bounds and are brimming with confidence ,. The next race is during the last weekend of July, and both of them are looking forward to the event and making a mark.
