ADAC VW Polo Cup
Aditya & Ashwin gear up for Oschersleben

The round 4 of the ADAC VW Polo Cup is scheduled between 31st July and 2nd August 2009 @ Motorsport Arena Oschersleben Circuit. This Circuit is 3.667 kilometres (2.28 mi) long race track with the width of 11 - 13 meters and elevation changes of 23 metres. The circuit is located in Oschersleben, Börde (approximately 30km from Magdeburg), Northern Germany. Its fairly flat contours create a smooth and fast circuit.

Inaugurated on 25 July 1997 (still as "Motopark Oschersleben") it was Germany's third permanent race track, after Nürburgring and Hockenheimring. Since then EuroSpeedway Lausitz and the rebuilt Sachsenring were added as a fourth and fifth permanent race track.

Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is a traditional venue for F.I.A.'s European Touring Car Championship from 2001 to 2004 and the World Touring Car Championship from 2005

This round of the ADAC VW Polo Cup promises to be exciting , with two races to run over the weekend. Both races will have a full grid of over twenty five cars, and will be fighting tooth and nail to get to the chequered flag first.

Both Aditya and Ashwin are looking forward to the event and are well prepared, physically and mentally for the challenge ahead.

It is all thanks to Volkswagen Motorsport, VW India, Ma-Con Motorsport, JK Tyre and Amaron, that these Chennai Youngsters have got this fantastic opportunity to race with the best of talent in Europe, and showcase their talents.

Ashwin said "I am confident as I have driven a few times at Oschersleben, and am familiar with the circuit. I am confident of a podium finish."

Aditya Patel said that he has nver driven at the circuit before, but is now confident with the car and setup. .He said " I have been practising the circuit on the X Box , just to get to know it better. I am confident of a good race"

The entire experience has been one of learning and they have learnt fast . It is also the cordial atmosphere that prevails at the events along with strict discipline that has been a real eye opener for the Indians. They have surely learnt a lot , and hopefully will carry on to greater heights.
