Narendran of Rams Racing takes pole in JK Tyre FMSCI National Enduro Championship Finals
Sudanand Rajan and Akhil Devrag top contenders for title

Chennai, 2nd October 2009 :The countdown for the mega finals of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Road Racing Championship began today with the practice sessions in all the categories and the qualifying races for the final round of the JK Tyre FMSCI Enduro National Championship. The 45 minute Endurance is headed for one of the most nail biting finals ever. With just two points separating the two contenders - pilot by profession Sudanand Rajan of Wallace Sports and BBM student Akkhil Devrag of Rams Racing - who will be the winner, is anyone’s guess. In the practice sessions earlier today, current championship leader Sudanand was slightly off speed. However, both Sudanand and Akkhil are upbeat and confident of clinching the title tomorrow.

In the qualifying races today it was the duo from Rams Racing, S.Narendran and Akkhil Devrag who took the pole and second position on the grid. Narendran had the fastest lap timing of 01:59:038 while Akkhil timed 01:59:526. Starting third on the grid will be Sudanand Rajan who had a lap timing of 01:59:683.

In the Formula LGB Swift class practice sessions today the top contender and Bangalore lad Sudarshana Rao had a comfortable outing today. Sudarahana who has just got his commercial pilot license is in the hunt for the championship title on track and a pilot’s job off track. Having already garnered a lead of 14 points, the 24 year old racing for Team TVS Girling is hoping to seal the title in the first race tomorrow.
