The weekend didn't start as well as I had expected and hoped for. Practice on Saturday morning was wet but unfortunately a glitch in the gearbox prevented me from putting in any good lap times - 20th was the best I could manage out of 30 cars. However wasn't going to let that dampen my spirits so we went into qualifying with a new gearbox on a dry track. Although everything felt good through the session, I could only manage to pull a 16th which in my opinion, I felt was due to the disturbed practice session and also a wrong tyre choice for qualifying.

After a long discussion with the engineer, we decided to make a few changes for the race but as luck had it, there was rain on Sunday morning! Finishing the race was my main objective at this point. The visibility was very poor and we had to rely on the brake lights from the cars in front to know where we were on the track! A mistake under braking on the 9th lap saw me drop 2 places. It was definitely a close race and I managed to finish 18th. It was a struggle for me to keep the car on the track but never-the-less, I finished.
