FMSCI issues changes to the 2009 Technical Regulations for 4W

The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) have made a few changes to the 2009 Technical Regulations for four wheelers. With the 6 round FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2009 for cars starting in June 2009, the FMSCI, which is the ASN for FIA in India and the Government of India's recognized Federation for motorsport, have received suggestions from many competitors for these changes. The changes are :

1) In Group N, Art.6.4.1 : Add :

"Wheel size 1J more than the homologated size will be permitted. Alloy wheels are permitted."

2) In Rally Star Cup, Art.6.1 under Carburettors : Add :

"Removal of all elements between Air Filter Box and Resonator is permitted."

3) In Gypsy Class, Art.6.1 under Cooling System : Add :

"The radiators are FREE. The cooling fan is FREE and fitting of double radiators and two cooling fans are permitted."
