The round 1 of the IMG Sports FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship for 2 wheelers will be held at Coimbatore between 20th and 21st June 2009.

The total distance of the rally will be 114.72 kms. There shall be two special stages viz. Textool (14.13 kms) and Premier (14.50 kms) run 3 times, totalling 85.89 kms.

The rally itinerary is as follows:

Textool Wind Farm - 130 meters Liaison - Textool Stage (14.13 kms) - 970 meters Liaison - Premier Stage (14.50 kms) - 8.51 kms Liaison - Textool Wind Farm - 20 mins Service X 2 times - Regroup 20 mins X 1 time.

This years National Championship will be run for both 2 strokes and 4 strokes. The following are the classes run :

2 Strokes :

1) Group B - upto 130 cc
2) Group B - 131 cc to 165 cc

4 Strokes :

1) Group D - upto 130 cc
2) Group D - 131 cc to 165 cc
3) Group D - 166 cc to 210 cc
4) Group B - upto 130 cc
5) Group B - 131 cc to 165 cc
6) Group B - 166 cc to 210 cc
7) Group B - 211 cc to 260 cc

The last date for closing of standard entries is 1700 hrs on Wednesday, 17th June 2009 and the late entries close on Thursday, 18th June 2009. The reconnaissance, documentation and pre-event scrutiny will be held on Saturday, the 20th June 2009 and the actual rally start at 0800 hrs on Sunday, 21st June 2009. The ETA of the first bike is at 12:33 pm. There shall be a maximum of 50 entries accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
