Gaurav clinches second successive win in Formula Rolon Chevrolet
Ajay Kini snatches maiden win in Formula LGB Swift

Chennai, August 02, 2009: The second and final day of the fourth round of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship 2009 saw Gaurav Dalal stamping his authority in scoring a double by winning both the races that he competed and enhance his chances of defending his title for himself and his team, Red Rooster Racing, who made their debut last year.

On a day of clean racing in all the categories that were gone through today, Ajay Kini of Wallace Sports in the Formula LGB Swift class and K. Rajinii n the Super bikes Experts category hogged the lime light, while it was Sailesh Bolisetti’s day out in the Super Saloons Class.

The second race in the premium Formula Rolon Chevrolet category , Dalal., who was on the pole, was in total command, perhaps knowing the line of the circuit well enough having competed in different class for over a decade. But today, Dalal proved his mettle in great measure and drove to his plan of keeping himself away from his followers all through the event. His strategy of setting up a huge lead from others to remain in front helped him as there was strong competition for the other placings.

Delhi’s Karthik Shankar, who has taken the place of championship leader Ashwin Sundar (who is racing in Germany) for Speed NK Racing did appreciably well to finish second while Kolkatta’s Amittrajit Ghosh also of Team Red Rooster Racing had to be content with the third place.

The Race 2 of the Formula LGB Swift class saw Chennai lad Ajay Kini from Wallace Sports registering his maiden victory this season warding of challenges from at least htree other drivers.
