The FMSCI today announced the calendar for the 2009 FMSCI National Supercross Championship. After a gap of one year the FMSCI National Supercross Championship is set to soar once again . The National Championship is title sponsored by MRF and co sponsored by TVS Motor Co., BPCL , Sidvin , Red Bull and GMR . The promoters are Sportstrek , Pune.

The Championship rounds will be organized by Mr Shyam Kothari of Sportstrek and FMSCI member clubs located in the venue of the six round championship.

Round 1 : Goa : 24th May 2009
Round 2 : Hyderabad : 31st May 2009
Round 3 : Coimbatore : 14th June 2009
Round 4 : Bangalore : 15th November 2009
Round 5 : Pune : 29th November 2009
Round 6 : Jaipur : 6th December 2009

The Championship will consist of the following class / group.

1) Foreign Open, Group A, 2/4 Stroke, Upto 250 cc (2 Stroke) & 500 cc (4 Stroke)
2) Novice, Group C, 2/4 Stroke, Upto 165 cc
3) Indian Experts, Group B, 2/4 Stroke, Upto 165 cc
4) Indian Experts, Group C, 2/4 Stroke, Upto 165 cc
5) Intermediate, Group A, 2/4 Stroke, Upto 250 cc (2 Stroke) & 500 cc (4 Stroke)

and a local class for the novice riders, 2/4 stroke, upto 165 cc within city / state where the Supercross is being held.

Supercross is conducted in a stadium type facility open or fully enclosed on a track made up of jumps made up of consistent natural materials only. It has become a very popular and exciting discipline of 2w motorsport.
