The round 1 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2009 is scheduled between 10th & 12th April in Sepang Circuit, Malaysia. In this Asian level Championship two of our Indian riders viz. Preetham Dev Moses and K Rajini representing Team Red Rooster Racing participate in the SuperSport 600 cc category.

The qualifying 1 was held on Friday, the 10th April 2009. The wet track hampered many of the riders. Preetham did not qualify in Q1 while K Rajini clocked 7th fastest with a timing of 1:13.059. In the qualifying 2 held today, Preetham clocked 1:09.904 while Rajini improved his timing to 1:09.985.

Preetham would start the race 1 tomorrow at 11th place while K Rajini would start from 12th.

The race1 would start at 09:35 Indian Standard Time (IST) and race 2 at 13:15 IST.

Competitors from Malaysia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, HongKong, Singapore and ofcourse India take part in this Asian level championship.

The round 4 of this Asian Championship will be held at the Madras Race Track at Chennai on 4-6 September 2009.
