The sixth edition of the Lanson Toyota Car Fun Rally originally scheduled to be held on Sunday 30th August 2008, will now be held on Sunday, 13th September 2009.

The event organized by the Madras Motor Sports Club will be run on a Time, Speed and Distance (TSD) format and will cover a distance of approximately 80 kms in about 3 hours within Chennai city and its suburbs. This year apart from General, Ladies, Toyota Owners, Novice categories, a special College Students category is being introduced to encourage college students to take part in the rally.

Lanson Toyota will be the main sponsor for this event that while Kaya Skin Clinic are the Associate Sponsors. Country Inn & Suites are going to be the F&B partners while Radio Mirchi will be the radio partners. Exciting prizes await the winners - International Air Tickets (sponsored by Air Arabia), TV’s (sponsored by Panasonic), Gold Coins (sponsored by Nathella), Holiday Packages (sponsored by SOTC), Tickets to Sri Lanka (sponsored by PeeKay Travels), Home Appliances (sponsored by Viveks), T-shirts (sponsored by Jai Expo), Gift hampers, and more. All participants will receive a kit bag with a lot of goodies from the organizers.

Entry fee per team is Rs. 900/-. Entry forms are available at - Lanson Toyota showrooms in Koyambedu, Cenotaph Road and Pallikaranai, Mocha - Nungambakkam and Gandhi Nagar, Nathella Jewellers – T. Nagar, Anna Nagar, Velachery and Purusawalkam, and Landmark – Nungambakkam, Spencer’s Plaza and Citi Centre.

Last date for registration is now September 11. The briefing session will be held at The Park (near Gemini Flyover) at 3 pm on the same day. All rules and details will be provided at this briefing.
