Ten10
Racing made their presence felt in their first race at the historic
Irungattukottai Track on August 1 -2 with two podium finishes in both

On race day, rider Vikram V. was still recovering from
a broken collar bone, the result of an incident in an earlier FMSCI
National Championship race. Overcoming pain and stiffness in the shoulder,
Vikram pushed the competition to finish in P2 in the
first race. Although visibly strained, Vikram was even
faster in the second race and once again climbed the podium for his
second P2 of the day.
Rider Sanjay Kumar improved his performance at the
Irungattukottai track by over six seconds, improving his best time from
2:03s in the previous round to 1:57s seconds. An aggressive strategy
got him to the P3 position in each race.
Rider Rajeev Raju, who debuted in the previous round,
showed tremendous improvement in pace and confidence, shaking off a
crash in Qualifying to ride even faster on race day. He finished in
P5 in both the races.
600cc Expert Category
Riders Emmanuel Jebraj and ‘Poncho’
S. Gopinandhan faced a difficult weekend with both bikes overheating.
Jebraj finished in P6 in the first race and pushed
his position up to P5 in the second race. Poncho was
also restrained due to a sprained wrist and mechanical issues and finished
in P7 in both the races.
This was Ten10 Racings first race at the Chennai track and the results
have been very positive. The team is now looking forward to the upcoming
third round of the FMSCI National Racing Championship on August 29 –
30 where they will compete in the Group ‘B’ upto 165cc and
the Group ‘A’ Superbike category.
