Mallya & Singhania win the Concourse de Elegance

Dr. Vijay Mallya’s 1924 Lanchaster & Akshay Singhania’s 1956 Mercedes 300 S Won the Concourse de Elegance in the Vintage & Classic car category at the VCCCI Vintage Car Fiesta 2009 at the Trident on Sunday 5th April 2009.

Mr. Fali Dhondy in his 1929 Rolls Royce won the Rally and was declared the overall winner.

In the ladies section Hiral Dossa in her 1947 Cadillac won the Rally . Dr. Mallya’s 1928 Packard also won the best Restoration Trophy. The first Runner Up was won by Mr. Abbas Jasdanwalla in his 1936 Mercedes Benz driven by Cyrus Gandhy and the Second Runner Up was won by Dr. Vijay Mallya in his 1934 Packard Super 8 car.

Press Baron Hormusji Cama also won the prize for the Best maintained 1925 Rolls Royce and Mr. Viveck Goenka’s 1947 Daimler won the prize for the best restored Classic car.

Nitin Dosa’s Avon SS 1933 won the Most Unique car prize.

Dr. Pandit & Family won the prize for Period costume for the 26th year in a row.

Mr. Y. P. Trivedi (M.P.), President, WIAA and Mr. S. Soni, General Manager, The Trident, flagged off the event and gave away the prizes.
